Due to the line's only operational kettle going pop, the railway will be operating diesel traction tommorow.

Quoted from Mr Nicholson on PD forum, it is likely that 31163 and 37219 will be in operation.

31163 1T03 10:30 Chinnor - Thame Junction (10:50
37219 1C04 10:54 Thame Junction - Chinnor (11:12
31163 1T05 11:30 Chinnor - Thame Junction (11:48
37219 1C06 11:54 Thame Junction - Chinnor (12:12
31163 1T07 12:30 Chinnor - Thame Junction (12:48
37219 1C08 12:54 Thame Junction - Chinnor (13:12
31163 1T09 13:30 Chinnor - Thame Junction (13:50
37219 1C10 13:54 Thame Junction - Chinnor (14:12
31163 1T11 14:45 Chinnor - Thame Junction (15:03
37219 1C12 15:08 Thame Junction - Chinnor (15:26
31163 1T13 16:00 Chinnor - Thame Junction (16:18
37219 1C14 16:23 Thame Junction - Chinnor (16:45

Might be going to it tommorow, anyone know what the line's like?

Went in September last year for 116, hardly any thrash but it was only load 2 and the line is quite slow anyway so i didn't expect it to be full thrash.

Talking of this weekends 37 running, 906 is out Sun and Mon at the Valley...

It was actually a decent day out! A bit more than notch 2 thrash wise this time, but nothing to write home about. Ian your not joking about it being slow! Matt, this time it was top and tailed with load 3 in the middle, so it was OK-ish.

LOL, to be fair it would be a pretty short trip for the families that turn up there if it was any quicker;)

A class 14 would be an ideal engine there, the 37 and 31 are really too big for the line on load 3 (can't really accom' much more than that at chinnor).

Still its a picturest line with friendly staff;)

I was thinking, being as Chinnor is quite a large village (Boris Johnson is the MP for it incidentally ), They could run a parry people mover on weekdays to Princes Risborough as a sort of Commuter service, stopping at Wainhill and Bledlow as commuter halts, being more environmentally friendly, and probably be adequate capacity compared to the 121 DMU which could be too much for a small group of people?

When I was a member of the Railway when I lived in the area a few years ago there was plenty of talk about extending into Princes Risborough. From their webpage it seems now just to be a cost issue - http://www.cprra.co.uk/index.html; click on "Risborough" on the left-hend menu.

The bus service which connects with the train at Risborough is not overly popular, so I doubt whether such a service would be *that* popular having seen Chinnor. Saying that, bus services are obviously less popular than trains & we don't know how many people drive from Chinnor.

The Henley constituency includes Chinnor as it covers most of South Oxfordshire.
