Barnfind of the century, power unit from Class 22 D6332 is happily operational once again, and available for running demonstration.
Picture 60 and others show the MAN engine running. It was also in a couple of CLass 43 Warships, RAPID and VANQUISHER. Hope I can post the link.

I gather it was 'found' about 10 years ago, before that was unknown to Preservationists. Urban legends from here but a few knew. It was on google earth until recently, a big roof fan providing a clue.Went for a look and found factory being demolished, then there was a paper trail. Google earth had many things on, although the faded four fanned brown loco with a tree growing out of it at Scherbinska(accepted wisdom 1994 way before those damn maps) and much other now scrap has sadly gone...
There's an Armstrong Whitworth power car in Brazil from before the war, slowly rotting to nothing!
