That looks spanking. Well done to all involved. The fastest Diesel............ in the world.

Diesel power! (A reference to The Prodigy song of the same name) :D

Once lockdown ends I shall certainly go and see 43102 for sure!

Will someone share their photos on here of when it goes on the mainline for us all to enjoy?

There is lots of talk on Facebook about it potentially being on the London end of 1B23 tomorrow although its not exactly clear how EMR will be announcing this or whether it is even an EMR power car still on their books.
They may announce it on their Twitter Page.

EMR suggested a while ago that we may see a power car was to appear in aubergine. If it happens, then I'd prefer to see the outgoing livery rather than the all over aubergine.

I thought they had abandoned the Idea of painting one since they are due for retirement in a matter of Months.
We don't know yet.

In any case, that isn't what's under discussion here. The point I was making was that, if you were only going to paint the power car, it would end up the same, regardless of whether the spec used was nominally the permanent one or the outgoing one.

It is still on lease to EMR.

Fine effort from EMR, Porterbrook and the painting team. A lot of effort has gone in to getting it right.

Please post if it is out tomorrow as I could catch it on a walk by the line I reckon.

Word on the street is a purple HST exists somewhere...
There's an artist's impression somewhere of a Porterbrook liveried power car back from when their colour was purple, if that's what you mean.

No - a member of EMR staff claims he saw one on Twitter but not sure as to how true it is

They say it passed through Bedford at 06:25 today, as much as I hope it's true it doesn't seem too likely.

Probably some attention-seeking Twitter user (now there's a novelty!) winding people up (or trying to).

Sorry if I've missed something, but what is replacing the ex-East Coast HST's this year? I don't think the Hitachi's have been built yet, let alone delivered?
