Sure I read somewhere that first class is to get gold doors and standard silver
Interesting, just like Grand Central's doors then. The 810s certainly look good in renders have any been built yet?

I'm also looking forward to the 360's and I wonder what they will look like in the flesh.

I mean in the case of 222104 (The flying aubergine!) there's not any thing wrong with it, I think they ought to sort out the 156s first as from what I've seen they're scruffy.

Does anyone know whether the gold doors on the class 810 render will make it on the units or will they be silver? I get it might be too early to know, but it's worth asking.
I agree completely best to sort out the scruffy looking class 156s first.

Does anyone have any details of the 2 '800' type units plying the Midland Mainline in Leicestershire. One seemed to be in dark blue and the other similar but with various coloured stripes along the coaches. I have seen them flashing past from my window a number of times in both directions?

Many Thanks

These were Hull Trains Class 802/3s. They were on diversion from Hull to St. Pancras and back due to closure of Kings Cross, due to engineering works.

Thank you so very much for clearing this up for me. They passed at such speed so unexpectedly that I could not see any identification.

Cheers and have a good day.

Not sure where to post this but after reading a briefing, the 180s can and will be used in pairs. Derby and Nottingham Train Managers will be trained on them.

Makes me think that the 180s will perhaps end up on any service rather than being solely on set/limited diagrams.

Only a limited number of Drivers are being trained as it currently stands though.

Will that work reliably? I seem to have noticed do not couple signs in cab windows of 180s far more than in other units.

A lot of people have noticed that the 222s seem to be very dirty on the outside and a lot of the time you can’t see out of the windows. Does anyone have any idea why?

They have always got worse at this time of year but this year they have been extremely bad. At Duffield I can see Meridians and Voyagers and the contrast between their external appearances are shocking.

I'm not sure if EMR gave a problem or if they have let standards slip to save money. In my experience of other Abellio tocs they often run dirty trains and don't seem all that bothered.

I did try asking but got a generic reply about increased cleaning of surfaces on trains and stations to stop the virus. They clearly did not even bother to read my query properly but then that is also not unusual for most tocs.

Is this since transfer to EMR or in previous homes where the ability to couple was rarely used and therefore would have been a lower priority maintenance item that may not have been fixed at the speed that it would in the case of other units?

Hubbert's Bridge - New signage on the new platform

Are all of the ex LNER power cars active with EMR now apart from the 4 with 'currently at' notes attached to them?

Not sure about that front end, ugly is the only description I can think of!
I agree completely! They made the class 800,801 and 802 look the same basically but the thought of making the 810 look that much let's say ugly is odd. If anything it would have suited the current outgoing lI very rather than the full Purple. Speaking of which and sorry if I've already asked this but is 222104 staying full Purple or will that eventually be painted in the Outgoing Livery too?

Very very unlikely that 222104 will be painted into the outgoing livery.

Surprised anyone can make out the Livery on the Meridian fleet. Used them quite a lot recently, and they are absolutely caked in filth externally. What on earth has gone wrong?

Same with the HSTs too, Neville Hill ones as well at Etches park ones.

In the meantime 170417 has been named at Derby, no idea what though.
