The Bristol Airport Flyer has a premium fare of £8 single and £13 return, but the website says that normal fares apply for trips not to the airport. But the bus stops only about 10 minutes walk away on the A38 at the Airport Tavern. Does this mean I can pay a normal fare between there and the city centre, or does that still count as the 'airport'? What is the fare between the Airport Tavern and the city centre?

I've been charged 8 quid from 1 stop past the busway end to town.

Our normal range of tickets is valid for local journeys not starting or terminating at Bristol Airport

Presumably a FirstDay is part of their normal range of tickets?

Agree - it's confusing and a mess.

The A1 never used to accept any First tickets but it was amended during the various lockdowns with the A2. With that, the A1 has now resumed but following the A2 route via Bedminster rather than the metrobus route.

If you look at the map and times, it says "service A1 serves all stops along the route" but the map has a key with an icon for "bus stop" and it shows only the ones that are timing points on the timetable other than Centre, Redcliff Way and Redcliff Hill. However, bustimes shows detailed timetable points and indeed, all stops.

Pick the bones out of that!

It is a total mess, especially when the U2 is about!

You can use a FirstDay on local trips within the ‘Bristol’ zone as outlined in the booklet. I’ve done this many times lately - very helpful when the 75 is being unreliable! It definitely serves all stops along the route too.
