Due to their age, I think these will be part of the 'interim' Volvos to replace loans and Presidents. Then more Volvos will arrive to replace them
My thoughts too. I’d imagine these two B7TLs are to enable the remaining trident Presidents on hire from Winkleigh (33001, 33165 and 33173) to be returned.

Or maybe the loaned white alx400s from ensight
Thought those were from BASE rather than Ensign

Anyhow, we were kindly informed that the priority was to remove the Trident Presidents

What stays long term will depend on what the post Covid demand looks like, and experience of the condition of these.

There is a desire to remove Trident Presidents though.

It would seem the priority is to get these down from South Yorkshire to allow the hire fleet (both the Tridents from Dan Shears plus those from BASE) to be dehired, which is eminently sensible.

Then when the MMCs return from SPS after they’ve got their new deckers, it’d be safe to assume the older Volvos and remaining Kernow branded Presidents will leave.

Marc has shared a teaser of a Gemini in the Dartmoor Explorer livery on Twitter but yet to receive branding.

Although First Wessex is still operating a normal service, and First West of England only making minor changes, from 17th January Buses of Somerset are cutting 50% of their services.
For those who do not use Facebook I have pasted this.

From Sunday 17 January we're making temporary changes to some buses, in response to the national lockdown.
Some of our buses in the area will run slightly less often due to lower numbers of people travelling.
Services will revert to similar patterns operated in the first lockdown.
Town Services 1, 4, 6, 7, in Taunton will reduce in half. 1, every 40 minutes and the rest hourly Monday to Friday, no changes to the Saturday service.
Town Services 51 and 53 in Yeovil will reduce to every 40 minutes Monday to Friday, no changes to the Saturday service.
Network Services 21A and 28, will be hourly for the duration of the day. Basically operating the current Saturday timetable Monday to Saturday.
Network Services 30, 54 and 77 will also reduce in frequency and operate to their current Saturday Timetable Monday to Saturday.
Yeovil service 6 between Yeovil and Bridport will also revert to the lockdown timetable.
NO OTHER SERVICES ARE AFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE. IF YOUR SERVICE IS NOT LISTED IT IS NOT CHANGING.
Full timetables will be published on this weblink as soon as we can.

New timetables now available:

Tinner 33467 on the A1 today.

Judging by the allocation this week use of open-toppers has ended for the time being.

Does anyone know if these two have moved down here today given that the weather hasn’t been good further north in recent days?
32269 is on route. 32265 was left behind with an engine issue found before it left the depot at Sheffield.
They were at Strencham services at 1730, I was chatting to one of the drivers.
The Truro city team coach was used for transport to get the drivers to Sheffield.
(Theyd been transferred to Sheffield for collection earlier in the week)

Marc has shown an illustration of the tweaked Land's End Coaster livery on twitter.

Can't post it here as I'll probably fall foul of the exacting requirements for reposting.

For those who can't see it, it's a bold purple and black effort with lemon yellow spots..... Only kidding

Shown as a side view, the base livery looks the same. There are the new Land's End Coaster fleetnames, an updated map showing the key points on the routes, whilst the lower panels lose the swoopy "rides along Cornwall's coast" in favour of some graphic (a microsite? or some link to the main FK?) prompting you to get more info/tickets etc

Looks a little tidier IMO, and more "on point" for the specific routes. Marc also mentions that the AC livery will continue to be on an increased number of O/Ts for the A4/A5.
