My wife asked me to ask if they were all invented by women. as she seems know more than I do to answer this particular clue.

As regards the laser printer it was jointly developed by the guy mentioned with a massive amount of help from his wife.

The other 3 were all women inventions so you're quite right.

Your go.

Hmm it's been a few years since I studied that period, but I assume it's Civil War related? How about something obvious, is it the final end of the Civil War?

Blimey it's over forty five years since I took my G.C.E. O level history but September 3rd, was the battle of Worcester, the final one of the English Civil War. Attending a school within sight distance of Edge Hill the English Civil War was always hot on the history agenda. It's also the start date in 1939 of our involvement in WW II.

That is the correct answer in all repects. Well done. You can set the next one.

Here is a nice easy one.

Okay, here's a delightfully "useless piece of information" type one.
The football table-top game of Subbuteo.
How was it's name arrived at?

It's the hobby, a type of falcon. The taxonomic name is something like Falco subbuteo - I'm not sure about the genus.

Was that when Rolf Harris first recorded "The Ladies of the Harem of the Court of King Caractacus"? :)

Thank you :)

An easy one.
On what date was Avro Vulcan XH558 delivered to the RAF? Bonus point for the squadron and station she was delivered to.

Kind of topical, this one.
He was a weightlifter, won an Olympic Silver medal.
