Can't find the thread but how are GWR still allowed to sell mobile tickets that for Anytime Day Singles state "no break of journey is allowed" even though there is no such restriction on the particular ticket being sold? Surely mobile tickets don't really have the additional restriction that break of journey is banned?

They can't. But they do - exactly who is going to stop them?

But even during the booking process it says break of journey is valid and only after the purchase is made does it show it isn't which definitely can't be legal. That would be like buying a ticket to Newcastle and them issuing a ticket to Penzance after you bought it!

Well, it's a breach of the contract with the passenger then, beyond everything else. You would be within your rights to break your journey as per what you were sold, and to recover any additional amount(s) you were tortiously charged.

This has been an issue for months. They really should have updated the app by now. Fortunately, GWR twitter and station staff have in my experiences always realised that it's an error on the app and that BoJ is perfectly valid.

Raised this with Gwr last year and was told it was being fixed. Nothing has changed since then.
