When (if at all) did Chiltern operate a continuous shuttle between the above mentioned stations, utilising Platform 4 at Leamington?

Has any other TOC done so?

TIA

Central used to with 150s?

Thanks for the response. I'm trying to place a memory of getting a mid morning train in the 2000s from one of the bay platforms at Leamington but can only find timetable info suggesting through services from Marylebone only.

Until 2004, Stratford-on-Avon to London services were operated by First Great Western Link into Paddington via Oxford. There were some long gaps between the through services. Central trains operated Leamington-Stratford shuttles to plug the gaps.
The Moor Street to Leamington local shuttles were added in order to speed up the Birmingham to London services by missing out Lapworth and Hatton.

Before FGW came along, Central Trains worked the Leamington to Stratford shuttles. They also worked an hourly all day stopping train between Birmingham and Leamington, many starting from Worcester Foregate Street at 11 minutes past each hour off peak. Extra trains ran in the peaks. When Chiltern decided to run their Birmingham to Leamington shuttle, the Central Trains service only went to Dorridge. It wasn't anything to do with the 10 minute frequency.

Would it not make sense to transfer the moor st - leamington shuttle as an extension of the dorridge hourly to leamington? And perhaps the Stratford shuttle also, perhaps as an extension of NUCKLE into NUCKLES.

Thats how it used to be with the Birmingham to Leamington trains, until the Chiltern shuttles started. The train that ran from Snow Hill at XX.17 past each hour (until the recent Covid timetable) was the train that used to carry on beyond Dorridge to Leamington.
I also remember reading about a plan, a number of years ago now, when they were first talking about re-opening Kenilworth, about extending those trains from Coventry onto Stratford, but it never happened.

Hasn't the path for a Leamington to Stratford been taken by the Stratford and Dorridge service now? Can you actually find a path for it that links reasonably with the current Nuneaton to Leamington service which itself I don't think can be moved due to conflicts elsewhere?
