Hello, so I am from the US but really love the trains from the UK. One of my favorite trains is the class 465 and I would love to get a model to put on display, but I couldn't find anything on Google. So is there anywhere I could get detailed model I can use for a display? Also, is there a place you would recommend I could get UK style tracks and scenery delivered to the US. I would love to also make a little realistic scene to go with it like tracks with third rail and grass

Thanks

Would you settle for a class 466 (2-car version; 465 is 4-car)? If so, Hornby do (did?) one.
I would be fine with a class 466 as they are similar enough, but I wish there was a longer version. Also, the train itself looks fairly good, however it would be nice to have an even more detailed model, but what can you do. Out of curiosity, do you know why there seems to be so little in terms of the models for model UK trains?

Thanks

There was an article done quite a while ago in model rail magazine on how to create a class 365 emu and I imagine the exact same process could be used to create the 465 unit.

If I remember correctly it involved a fair amount of cut and shut work on the bodies.

Might be worth searching the model rail database to see if they still have the article available, but failing that, I think it would be a case of purchasing 2 powered 2 coach 466s off ebay aswell as 2 few spare bodies to get the extra gangway ends to create the middle coaches

If you search "OO gauge Hornby Networker" or along similar lines you'll get a few results. I believe the original was the NSE livery & it was re-released in Connex yellow/grey.

If you're planning on having it as a running model be warned; it's seriously underpowered as only one of the bogies is driven & the model is heavy.

@PdannyH ("Various Multiple Units") on Twitter made a Class 465 from some Hornby 466s last year - looks brilliant but not for the faint-hearted I expect, with all that chopping up of various bits!

#WhatsOnTheWorkbench gearing up for the #NextProject, #Class465 #Networker. 3x 466s to make a Class 465/2 to run with remaining class 466 as a 6 car set. Chop Shop Networker featured in Oct 2019, Rail Express Modeller #NetworkSouthEast #scratchbuild #TMRGUK #VariousMultipleUnits

#WhatsOnTheWorkbench - celebrating #NSE35 with their legacy, Networker. 2x trailers built & both power cars double motored. 465 & 466 now have buckeye couplings + brake discs throughout. I'm now repainting the 465. Happy Birthday #NetworkSouthEast
