Hi there

Im new to the forum having just joined this evening. Ive been interested in all things travel and traction since childhood, brought up in the East Midlands on a diet of Peaks and Rats and Choppers, uni in London, then various jobs up here in the north west until retirement.

I have a particular interest in LT, both UndergrounD and buses, from which sprang my fascination with their enamel signs. Ive been collecting them off and on for years, eBay is a good source of course but the specialist auctions like T.A.L. And GWRA are a must for anything rare. Heres a couple of photos from my collection. Would love see anything similar you have and to chat to other collectors.

The London Transport Museum Friends (of which i am a member) have a stall where they sell stuff like this at depot open days and the like. I bought the below at one such event and it now adorns my front door...

Somewhere in my flat, stuff I've accumulated over the years     I've some old e-plates of routes that served the Hemel Hempstead area, from LT days. My father was a London Transport driver but for the green buses. I'll dig them out at some point.

I found my e-plates. I keep them for sentimental reasons and my father drove the 708 from Hemel Hempstead to East Grinstead. Although they're not for sale (well until I snuff it :'( :'( ) I assume my daughter would be able to sell them about a tenner each.

Thanks Peter, great plates. Their value to you as mementos of your father weigh outweigh any monetary value they have.
