Thanks Rhino.......utciad!! We're turning the corner hopefully after a slow start!!

The wife really does not want to relocate and to be honest the south coast is difficult to leave behind. I have been pondering the SWR roles and will keep a beady eye out for other roles......cheers.

Bring on the Chelsea!

Following feedback from various forum members, in order to allow limited resources of our volunteers to be prioritised in the most efficient manner, the popular TOPS Requests thread has been split into two separate threads, depending on the level of time-criticalness of the requests.

This thread is intended for requests that do not need to be answered immediately, which include enquiries about both freight and passenger workings in the past (including earlier on the same day). The only exception to this are for services from more than 10 days before the date of the request, due to the 14-day limit for some data in TRUST.

Before posting, please also familiarise yourself with the instructions in this post. You are reminded again that all those forum members providing information are volunteers, who have to fit the task of answering these requests around their own work/lives. Information provided in this thread would be on good faith to the volunteers' best knowledge. The forum cannot guarantee that all requests will be answered in time, or at all, or the accuracy of any information provided.

For any queries (both freight and passenger workings) requiring urgent attention, please use the alternative Urgent TOPS Requests thread.

A couple from today 16/03, can anybody please help with the IDs of:
  1. The 08 at Wigan Springs Branch, it was wearing faded EWS livery with big ‘RSS’ stickers on the side.
  2. Crewe Basford Hall, there looked to be a Colas 56 there
  3. Again at Basford Hall, right at the south end there was a TPE liveried Class 68 with matching coaching stock.
If anybody can ID any of the above stock it would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Does TOPS tell what happened please today to the 1R58 07:46 Nottingham to Liverpool Lime Street that meant it had to reverse and run wrong line? - Here's the detail.....

On17 March 2020 the came to a stand between Radford Junction & Trowell Junction at around 07:55. After 20mins approx it reversed direction, running wrong line back to Radford Junction and then back into Nottingham Station, where it appears from Open Train Times & Real Time Trains it's been terminated. I've checked the EMR and Network Rail site and tweets and there's nothing to say what happened. I presume a points failure or signal failure at Trowell on the down line, because trains are still running in the Up direction.

Thank you for your help.
Paul
PS
Update at 08:55. Whatever caused the 1R58 to reverse hasn't affected the 1R62, 05:50 Norwich to Liverpool which has just run through quite happily on the Radford - Trowell down line, just one hour after the 1R58 was meant to do the same.
