Does anyone have any updates on the x13 pacers at Heaton T&R.S.M.D Depot for route learning duties and what could get possibly withdrawn or even sold to private or preservation in 2021?

Also what's the latest on the Eastleigh Pacers?

However if all the Heaton T&R.S.M.D Pacers are still on lease as has been mentioned in this thread and on Facebook then it's a pity that some couldn't have been allowed to be stayed on into 2021 like the Transport for Wales class 143s have.

Do we know if 142023 is still destined for preservation down at the Plym Valley railway??

It’s still our intention to preserve 142023 and operate it on the Plym Valley Railway once it is made available. Our 117 DMU is slowly being restored to operational condition, we have no plans to dispose of this unit.

I noticed this was recent I am not sure on it being true

142007 and 142056 left Eastleigh and somehow I don’t know their current destination where they where heading to?

This was most likely filmed on or around 5th April 2020 when 056 and 007 moved from Gascoigne Wood to Eastleigh. 142 003 moved on its own on the 13th.

Are these five extra 142s that have recently arrived at the Wensleydale Railway there for preservation at Wensleydale, further storage, or just onwards movement to somewhere else? Thanks

A 142 reported as having left Heaton by road transport around lunchtime today - unit and destination not know yet.

The one left by road is heading for Plym Valley I heard. Unit 023.

So there should be 7 sets left at Heaton.

142 004/58/65/68/70/1 and 95.

142047 still the only one at Gascoigne Wood? Or have I missed that one moving.

Six left for route learning, with 095 soon going for scrap. (It was a parts donor)
However with toilets having to be locked out now due to track discharge just like the tfw 143s are. Aren't these now due to running solo for this purpose unfit for use because amenities still have to be provided.
Also who's going to train the trainers as even there traction knowledge could be out off knowledge especially on the east side probably no one has driven one for some time.
Wouldn't it make sense for the York to Scarborough route learner etc be a 150/158 etc unit that they will be driving anyway. And that has toilets amenities.
And some off these 142s with a prm unit could have stayed on the rosehill line maybe or the Chester/kirkby ones. But with reduced diagrams and units??

After all I said last month about scrapping slowing down in 2021, Sims have taken 2 rakes of Mark 3s, gawd knows how many 142s and a couple of 321s. I take it all back.
