Hello all,
I've been hunting for a while for information on the guidelines for private photography on TfL and LU stations/property. Could anyone provide me with information about said guidelines? I've read some stuff about requiring a permit on LU but wasn't sure whether that applied to commercial/professional photographers only.

On the Underground that's correct - they abolished the student / non professional permit about five years ago and the procedure now is to simply ask the station supervisor for permission.

Do all Underground stations have someone who could be asked for permission, in that case?
Most of them do, but in some cases a station supervisor will be responsible for more than one station and by definition can only be present at one of them at any one time.

There-e's a few people on here who work for the Underground and they can probably be more precise as to where these instances are.

You also have the option of using the "passing through" rule whereby you can grab a picture or two while literally passing through - as in, making a normal journey. This is generally held to allow ten minutes, or one cycle of departures to all possible direct destinations ( which would usually be within ten minutes in any case ).
