Fairly sure the 0830 and 1630 aren't Mk4 for a bit, it's the 1030 and 1830 that are for now.
But one diagram will most often be a Sprinter at present, as although it’s a MK4 service on paper I don’t believe enough sets are available at the moment. This was 0830 & 1630 last week, although I’m fairly sure it was a different one before as I’ve regularly had a MK4 on the 1630.
That’s exactly what I said here, is it not? :)

2005 Starts here (15x or 175)
Be interesting to see if there is an improvement on 175 availability or whether an abundance of sprinters still turn up.

Splitting the 1300 milford to Manchester at Cardiff, what will happen to that set that works from Milford. Is it being allocated to something else or will it just go to Canton? Obviously the 2 workings from Manchester that are 197 will terminate at Cardiff as usual.

Theres still 8 175 diagrams

The set that comes from Milford is now a 150 which just goes ecs from Barry onto Canton then into the station to do the Milford and back onto Canton.

Thanks. So what are the other 3 175 diagrams?

I see on the other thread one is going to Holyhead in place of a 197?

Ive put tomorrows in the 175 thread. Yes back on a Holyhead at least tomorrow. Ignore the 5 bit though they all do visit Manchester at some point!!

Hi any sign of the ETCS 197s entering service on Cambrian line.
Some testing has been done. Plots to be done yet.
For the coast line some infrastructure changes are required.

Hearing that they’d been planning for December 2024 but now saying that they won’t be in passenger service until sometime in 2025.

Any sign of 230010? It hasn't been out for over 2 months.

Are TFW keeping them.
Its parked alongside the shed at Birkenhead North EMUD, not sure what's up with it but it's been there for months now. 230006 still hasn't turned a wheel in service at all as far as I know!

230s are here to stay, reliability seems to have settled down on them a bit from what I've heard, although I havnt worked one for a month or 2 now.

197012 hasn't been in service since 9th November anyone know what's happened to it
Info in the 197 thread.

It had engine damage as well as wheelflats and has just returned from Newton Heath following tyre turning.

There are many TfW threads, so here are some links people might find helpful :)

The CAF Craze (197 progress) :D

The lovely land of locomotive-hauled (67+MK4 progress) :D

Sun setting on the Sprinters (150/153/158/170/175 withdrawals) :)

FLIRTatious fun facts (231/756 progress)

Tram trains galore (398 progress) :)

Metro construction, excluding the rolling stock themselves

:)
