I want to say ‘Chaffinch’ but I’m not sure?
Apart from that what about ‘Benbow’?

Edit - Hm. I’ve looked them up and I didn’t get either of these right so I’m out...

I believe that was a Class 430 4 Rep unit around the Farnborough area - think it could be 3009 but not sure

Thank you - I knew a 442 had set a UK record, but I wasn't sure it was a world record!

Right... next question... shouldn't be too hard...

In which railway context would the maths of 8 + 8 NOT equal 16?

Is it to do with the classification of steam locos?

So if you had a pair of 8Fs on the front of a train it wouldn't be considered to be the equivalent of a 16F?

Ingenious thinking, but...

Tinsley hump shunters? (8+8=13)

That's the one I had in mind! :)

Excuse the mess; the forum doesn't seem to be letting me do multiple quotes properly any more...<(

Oil firing was favoured in the USA.
Or mechanical stokers?

Was a booster involved. A small auxilliary engine driving the trailing truck for additional power when starting a heavy load
