Lets try a new QUIZ (as opposed to what are effectively games).
The person with the floor asks a railway themed general knowledge question and the person who gives the correct answer will ask the next one.

Note:
If a correct answer is given and accepted to be so in the confirmation posting, the person making the correct answer must set a new question within a period of 48 hours...or OPEN FLOOR will be deemed to be in operation

I'll start:
In what year was the Summit tunnel fire?
Good luck! :)

There was a British railway accident in 1861 in which 23 people were killed and 176 were injured.

What was unusual about this accident?
What was the cause of this accident ?

That was the Clayton tunnel accident. The unusual aspect of the accident was the signaman being on a 24-hour shift. The cause was the trains leaving Brighton too close together & Poor communication between signalmen.

In the Keeping up Appearences episode entitled 'Sea fever' their car stops at a level crossing and a train passes. Which class was the train and which livery did it carry?

I remember the episode but for the life of me can't remember the train!
As the lack of response seems to suggest others may be in the same position, might it be an idea to post another question?

Yep I guess you are right. (It was a 421 in NSE livery).
In what year did the class 158/9 sub-class first enter service?

Surely Merseyrail?

It could also be the North Clyde and Argyle Lines, but given Glasgow already has the Clockwork Orange this is unlikely.

I still think it should be a Metro system in its own right.

But anyhow, next up:

How many London Underground stations have the word "Park" in their name?
