I know but this is a modern world where safety is paramount. Stop markers possibly if they haven’t been done among others, plus crews may have new dispatch processes to learn (even if they are just slightly different). May timetable is only less than 3 months away.
If there are stations where HST 5 boards haven’t been fitted that is just appalling planning by ScotRail, seeing as they’ve known they were getting them since the franchise started!

I understand that pretty much everywhere that has HST service has stop markers in place for HSTs

In fact the only place where I've seen a 2+4, but not 2+5 stop marker are on platforms they wouldn't ever be expected to stop at, so I don't think their presence is an issue. I've no idea if H&S means they need to be 'tested' to make sure it all works properly.

Given that five coaches in some sets was always the plan, logic would suggest that the HST stop boards were probably placed taking this into account.

Given that there is no need for 5 car sets just now 3 of the additional coaches are going to store at Slateford. The one 5 car set is just going to be used to glean data on performance, fuel consumption and establish if there are any outstanding signal sighting or clearance issues. Mainly a paperwork exercise. There are no issues with stop boards or the like.

43124 > 42351, 42213, 42032, 42029, 42256, 42580, 42255, 40619 > 43148

Are we sure about 42580?

I have that as a GWR vehicle, last noted as being moved to Doncaster on 15-09-2020 by 43027 & 43029.

My notes suggest 42568 may be more likely, last noted being moved to Doncaster on 05-06-2020 by 47815 - as some other vehicles in today's consist were.

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

I read on Twitter that all Scotrail HST Sets have left Doncaster along with the sets due to make 5 Carriages.

Checking Scot-Rail, one full 5-car set plus 3 of the extra TS vehicles to be added as 'Coach E' are listed as in Scotland

In normal circumstances we would probably be speculating on the probabality of the majority of the 2+5 units being available for the May timetable.

There have been cases where a loco has left and the driver has not noticed the carriages have been left behind!

I take it these are the coaches that were 47-hauled South a couple of weeks ago. Interesting route - is there some problem North of Newcastle on the ecml on Tues?

It also rotates the set, but it seems a bit over the top for just that.

Is this another set of snagging coaches plus 4 ?

if I remember it was the first three sets that were problematic ?
