I don't know how well this will go, it's an adaption of a well known puzzle.

Take this statement.

"If I am not mistaken, Aldwych tube station is still open".

How might you prove that Aldwych tube station is still open? (hint: ignore all semblance of reality and correct historical events - to solve this puzzle you need to play with the wording to come to the conclusion that Aldwych tube station is still open)

OK - there are obviously a couple of ways, and never any one set answer, but this was the solution I was looking for :-

"If I am not mistaken, Aldwych tube station is still open"

You agree - *that* statement is correct, whether I am mistaken or not doesn't come into it, but in my mind I am correct. So, that statement is correct, which can be written as "I am not mistaken" - as it's correct.

So,
"If I am not mistaken, Aldwych tube station is still open"
plus: as we have seen above I *am not* mistaken

therefore Aldwych tube station is still open.
