An era is now at an end. 455804 + 455819 should be at Sims Newport now and that officially renders the Southern 455s extinct!

69001 noted at the docks entrance gates and 1st one to see and the last York built southern 455’s and an end to a workhorses sub class

Here it was going through Maidenhead. My son has followed the run down throughout - taking the long way home from school to get one every day he could in April/May; following the last day tour and then travelling on the last ever service; following the Hove/Horsham/Streatham Hill to Stewarts Lane shunt moves; and the Newport scrap runs. We were at Maidenhead today (he made the banner too)
