A smaller order than last year, but then there was a massive break in orders in 2002.

Thanks for posting the correct list shown in the book rather than the copy and paste jobs posted elsewhere yesterday which are not correct.

I wouldn't assume BBP is 100% gospel truth either, they have in the past printed incorrect info - In fairness, some (Not all) have been down to changes of plan.
I haven't seen the latest book but they themselves 'Cut 'N Paste' info from old edition to new edition, mistakes included.
I don't expect them to be perfect given the volume of data and variations.

The orders that I have listed were not in the old edition though so not exactly sure how it is copied and pasted? Granted there are errors in their publications from time to time but I have used them for many years and on the whole they are accurate in my opinion.

The allocations appear to be updated from the previous edition as I keep track of changes between editions and they look accurate at first glance.

If my maths is right, Kilmarnock are getting 26 E400 MMC's, Aberdeen getting a solitary E400 MMC and Dunfermline getting 6 E200 MMC's.

That works out 33 new buses for Scotland combined. Not really much is it?

I feel bad for the North-Eats, fancy missing out on fresh new stock. ;)

So, we have 200MMCs coming over to Barnsley, a bit bland but okay. The Streetlights though, what routes are they gonna be deployed on? :-?

Your maths are wrong - 27 for Kilmarnock ;)

Ignoring coaches (as you have), they have 34 buses out of 265 or nearly 13%. There are, of course, caveats. It's a smaller order than usual (reflecting that the big work on PSVAR has been done). Stagecoach sometimes have supplementary orders. Not everyone can have new vehicles and it will doubtless reflect the age profile of individual fleets, business cases, and not reflect cascades etc when seen in isolation.

See post #30 reference the Streetlites.

To be fair the North East has not done too badly in recent years. Good numbers of E200 MMC & E400 MMC delivered in the last 12 months.

First new stock in Newcastle since 2011. They were long overdue! Busways is the third most profitable subsidiary in the UK in cash terms. On a PVR to profit basis, probably the most profitable.

Do you have the figures for the top 3 (or more) ?

Talk about selective facts.... You talk about new stock for Newcastle but quote on the profit for Busways forgetting the 80 other new vehicles delivered to Shields and Sunderland

Also, should remember that there were a lot of new deckers between 2007-11 so that removed a lot of PSVAR issues. Arguably, it might be worth having some new fleet to Newcastle to cascade across the country though.

I thought Stagecoach refused to put in new stock because of the council stupid idea to nationalise the bus operations?

They still put in new vehicles during that period into Shields and Sunderland.

However, if you look at the fleet profile, there is quite a lot of 2007-2011 fleet. Also, the Transit fleet (also part of Stagecoach NE) was requiring quite a bit of surgery to achieve PSVAR compliance so that had focussed things over the last few years (2014/5) on Teesside rather than T&W.

Newcastle seems to be cascading some of it's vehicles already - Winchesters E400s are a mix of ex Manchester & Ex Newcastle.

Have Stagecoach specified e-leather seating in all of the 2017 orders (outside London) or are there still some new buses entering service with beach ball moquette?

I think some or all of the coaches will be leather.

To posters in Carlisle I have no sympathy. They gave you brand new Solos and you moaned, now your getting the darts back and moaning again.

If the 2014 ADL E200s were returned, there would be no moans. But 13-year old Darts - surely a moan is justified....

The Stagecoach interior is so garish with the bright orange- same as First's pink. I don't intend to specify my next Audi with these colours as I'm sure the CEOs at both don't in their cars.....
