Copplestone is on The Tarka Line between Barnstaple and Exeter St Davids, which is one of the railway lines supported by the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership. The Partnership also supports the East Devon Line between Exeter St Davids and Axminster; one of the stations on that line is at Whimple.

Weston Milton is the only single platform station on the Bristol to Exeter Line; all the others, for example Highbridge and Burnham, have a minimum of two platforms.

Flat crossings have always been rare on Britain's standard gauge rail lines, and only one remains in use today.
Historically, there was a flat crossing between the GWR and S&DJR lines at Highbridge and Burnham.
And until the Beeching era, there was also a flat crossing between former LNWR and Midland lines at Bedford St Johns.

Note: Bedford St Johns station was relocated somewhat in the mid-1980s, but today's BSJ station is a similar short distance from the site of the flat crossing as the historic station was.

Ridgmont station, in common with others on the Marston Vale Line, is covered by the Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership. Ince and Elton is one of the stations covered by the North Cheshire Community Rail Partnership.

Langley Mill is another station where the buildings were originally designed by Charles Trubshaw but later demolished and replaced by the current ones (waiting shelters in this case).

Another example of a three word station name where the three letter code corresponds to the first letters of each word is CYB, Cefn-Y-Bedd.

I wonder how many times this relatively obscure station has been mentioned in this forum?
