143601 and 609 are now at Landore after running down on 5Z43 08:05 Canton to Landore this morning so no 14x units left in the TfW fleet

This thread has now run its course and there will be nothing to add so may as well be locked.
Before that I'd like to say a heartfelt thanks to you and everyone else who has provided information on this thread.

It has been really good knowing what's going on and being able to travel on one on the very last day. (Even if there was more than one last day.... )

The Welsh fleets have gone without any fanfare. It seems there were few, if any, cranks on the last run on Saturday. The last Northern run was much more popular though of course it was publicised and ran at a more civilised time.

I think that many people were under the impression that neither of them would be out on the grounds that mixed messages were circulating.
The official farewell run took place in October 2019 but I don't think anybody thought that any would still be in service for the length of time that they were

I saw 143601 and 143616 at Landore on the 30/6/21 at 09:57, and 143616 even had its engines running. Does anyone know what the situation is with them...?
