No amount of manipulation wll get the walk to Hilsea station to be under 0.6 mile, so we await Stagecoach South service 621 at 0932, alighting at Baffins, Portsmouth College at 0945 on Wednesday.

Usual school-term-only-but-not-marked-as-a-closed-service disclaimer applies.

Ooh I was just looking at this ferry! How fun!

As the opportunity has arisen, we head onto the 1055 Hayling Ferry service to Hayling Island Landing, arriving there at 1111 on Wednesday morning.

I was hoping that would happen...

However, the nearest bus is over 1.5 miles away so our only option is to turn round and head west on the 1115 Hayling Ferry ferry back to Eastney Landing, arriving at 1130 on Wednesday.

The eastbound shows as arriving at 1110 on my planner, so we should be good regardless of whether there is a second ferry (unlikely!!!).

We'll most likely miss the 1132 bus from Eastney Lifeboat Station stop, So we board the 1217 First Portsmouth, Fareham & Gosport service 25 to Portsmouth (The Hard, Interchange) arriving at 1255 on Wednesday afternoon.

Must admit its very poor for there to be no public transport services on the Hayling Island side of the ferry! If I remember rightly from my days holidaying there when I was younger the 30/31 serve the island, so its a shame it couldn't be routed to quickly call at the ferry stop!

Anywhos, moving along, we next board the 1304 First Portsmouth, Fareham & Gosport The Star service 8 to Clanfield (Drift Road Shops), arriving there at 1408 on Wednesday afternoon.

Heading to the stop directly outside the station, We then board the 0050 Stagecoach London service N25 to Tottenham Court Road, Station arriving at 0119 early on Thursday morning.

This would have been another perfect opportunity to take a second gander at the ol' 'liz line, although with the current timetable finishing at 2330, we're left with buses.

Your memory serves you correctly! Unfortunately, I'm fairly sure extending the 30/31 to the ferry would increase the PVR, and the previously subsidised 149 that ran for a few months in 2018 to the ferry didn't last very long.

Back to the game, we take a short rest before returning in the morning for the 05:53 Northern line service to Balham, arriving for 06:13 on Thursday morning.
