Only thing we can do here is board the 2230 Shiel Buses service N44 (don't know why they're suffixed N, that to me signifies a night bus!) to Corran Ferry (Junction), arriving there at 2235 on Friday evening.

That's it for today there, so we settle down for the night, and then walk the 0.2 miles to the Nether Lochaber ferry terminal to take the first Highland Council-run Corran Ferry of the day at 0630 across to Ardgour (Ferry Terminal), where we arrive at 0635 on Saturday.

As there’s no bus services for a few hours, we take the same boat (the 0640) back across to Nether Lochaber (Ferry Terminal), arriving at 0645 on Saturday morning.

Note: This is the same service that we arrived on. As it‘s the same boat going back and forth all day, it’s really not that big of a deal, in my opinion. The next service arrives to Nether Lochaber at 0705, if anyone would would prefer to use it.

I was wondering if it would have been acceptable to use the 0955 Shiel Buses 506 from Ardgour ferry terminal, to Corran Ferry, (Slipway on the A861) arriving at 1005, as it only is a very short walk from the Ardgour ferry terminal to the inn on the A861 where the bus stops.....or was that too long to wait?

I was looking at that. Technically it’s well over the two-hour limit, but I’d be fine with taking it, considering that it actually advances us instead of bouncing between two ferry terminals for who knows how long. The bus also stops on this end of the ferry, as well, if you’d like to take it.

Let’s take the bus option and see where we end up? Seems slightly more exciting than going back to where we came from straight away!

Unfortunately we are too far from the railway station so we will wait for the 1354 Scottish Citylink service 926 to Anniesland, Cross arriving at 1419 on Saturday.

Desiring a long-distance cross-city service through Glasgow, we next board the 1511 First Glasgow service 60 to Easterhouse (Shopping Centre), arriving there at 1655 on Saturday afternoon.

Shame, would have enjoyed a jolly on Edinburgh's buses!

We have a bit of wait here for the next service, which is the 0715 National Express service 131 to Birmingham (Digbeth Coach Station), arriving there at 0930 on Sunday morning.

We walk the two minutes to the 'Sleigh Drive' stop on Restalrig Road South, and let the 1531 Lothian Buses service 21 pass as we want to catch the 1551 service on that route, service 21 having two different western termini. We therefore board at 1551 and travel to the Gyle, alighting at alight at South Gyle Park at 1643 on Sunday.
