Do you wish to include former electrified BR "heavy" rail lines that have now been converted to Metrolink tram operations, such as Bury to Manchester Victoria and Altrincham to Cornbrook Junction, both "closed" in 1991? (August 1991 and December 1991 respectively).

Lancaster - Morecambe. Electrified at 6600V 25Hz in 1906. Later converted as a testbed for 25Kv 50Hz. Closed 1966

Then there are the Tyneside 3rd rail electrics that became diesel worked before conversion to Tyne and Wear Metro.

Stratford - North Woolwich closed in 2006. The section between Stratford and Canning Town is now DLR, and the section between Custom House and Silvertown has been reused for Crossrail. The rest remains disused.

Then there are the Tyneside 3rd rail electrics that became diesel worked before conversion to Tyne and Wear Metro.
In addition to those that were converted to Metro, there was also the Riverside line which closed in 1973.

Technically, the (electrified) section of the Altrincham line between the former Cornbrook Junction and Manchester Oxford Road station (via Deansgate) remains part of the GB rail network.

Liverpool Overhead Railway? Standard gauge and competed against a separate tram system in some areas so arguably a specialised urban railway rather than a tram system.
