IIRC, in the days before Southampton Airport became Southampton Parkway, only the semi-fast (92 headcode) services stopped there. Passengers to/from Swaythling or St Denys had to travel to Eastleigh or Southampton Central and double-back.

If freight only chords, or avoiding lines are included then we can add:
Tilehurst to Reading West
Pewsey to Trowbridge
Grateley to Dean

Melksham to Bradford on Avon.
(originally On same branch from Chippenham, but now separate services)
But these aren't on the same line. The North chord was lifted many years ago, so a reversal is needed to get from Melksham to Bradford.

New Beckenham and Beckenham Junction? (A journey I have made during disruption, but one I think can't ordinarily be done, while there are services scheduled along that route but don't stop?)

I don't understand all the Cardonald entries, it has two adjacent stations - Hillington East and Glasgow Central - rather than any of those?

Yes, but they aren't adjacent (Worcestershire Parkway is in between). There aren't any services between WOP and BMV, but there are a couple a day between ASC and WOP.
(Incidentally, you can only buy a ticket between ASC and BMV routed via Worcester, you can't travel on the direct route.)

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld

Regarding the Cardonald entries, there is a connecting line near the depot at Shields that goes directly towards Polmadie.

Thanks, that's interesting. I'm rather behind the times and had forgotten about Worcestershire Parkway. It didn't exist last time I ventured along there.

How about:

- Rugby to Wolverton
- Rugeley TV to Stoke-on-Trent (or if you're counting mothballed stations: Rugeley TV to Barlaston)
- Birmingham New Street to King's Norton (for the next couple of years anyway)
- Peartree to Willington

You can travel on a direct train from Lapworth to Claverdon.
Indeed. The 1615 Kidderminster to Stratford-upon-Avon service.

That must be a recent addition as those two stations on the single track (Claverdon & Bearley) were mostly Chiltern with an early morning WMT.

It doesn’t look like Cosham to Bedhampton (specifically in that direction) has any services calling at both, however.
If were considering directionality, then there's Patchway to Pilning. The latter's Down Platform is out of use due to the footbridge being removed to allow electrification. No electric trains call at either station, by the way.

Are you trying to find station pairs where a passenger train passes both stations but only stops at one or other but not both? Or two stations which could have a direct service without passing through any intermediate station and without reversing? If the latter, then some more Scottish examples:

Newcraighall to Slateford
Newcraighall to Edinburgh Park
Wallyford to Newcraighall, albeit there is no signalled route
Brunstane to Wallyford, albeit there is no signalled route
Elgin to Beauly
Carrbridge to Beauly
Rosyth to Dalgety Bay
Dalmeny to Linlithgow
Alloa to Dunfermline Town
Cumbernauld to Larbert
Lockerbie to Kirknewton (which almost meets the former question, as trains stop at Lockerbie and pass Kirknewton, but not the other way round)
Holytown to Whifflet
Cardonald to Dalmarnock
Dumbreck to Dalmarnock
Springburn to Ashfield
Springburn to Bishopbriggs
Bishopbriggs to Ashfield (ten return services per year pass both stations)
IBM to Branchton
Inverkip to IBM

Cheers,
Ewan

There is a Rugeley to SOT service by LNR. No trains (currently) stop at Barlaston at all. If it's counted, then Wedgwood to Barlaston and Barlaston to Stone and Stoke to Wedgwood all count too. On the RRB, of course, they aren't adjacent stops!

If avoiding curves shenanigans are being played then there’s also:
Woodlesford to Outwood
Woodlesford to Cottingley
Woodlesford to Kirkstall Forge
Woodlesford to Bramley
Woodlesford to Normanton
Normanton to Streethouse
Normanton to Fitzwilliam
