If it's that big that implies car drivers would go there for a weekly shop, which is unlikely with the Congestion Charge. Even in the suburbs the trend is for smaller supermarkets and more deliveries.Asda or Tesco should build a multi level underground 24 hour superstore in central London
There are a few 'town size ' supermarkets in Zone 1, mostly in the more residential areas:
Waitrose in Marylebone and the Barbican
Sainsbury's in Holborn, Tottenham Court Road and Pimlico as above
Tesco in Cheapside and Tooley Street.
