Hi Paul,
Bradshaw for December 1895 (not that long after opening) shows around 15 calls each way on Weekdays and 5 on Sundays. Practically every train that called at Woodkirk also called at Tingley. Two 'circular' routes overlapping. Leeds 'Central' - Woodkirk - Dewsbury - Thornhill - Heckmondwike - Cleckheaton - Pudsey - Leeds or Leeds - Woodkirk - Dewsbury - Ossett - Lofthouse - Leeds (and in reverse direction, of course). Sundays were a couple of the Cleckheaton circle and a couple of Dewsbury short workings.
By 1938, not long before closure, the service pattern was totally different, about 6 per day each way M-F but a few extras on Saturdays. None on Sundays. Services largely on a Leeds - Dewsbury - Ossett - Wakefield pattern but generally a bit 'messy'.
Hope this helps.
