Do they have any routes worth a mention 5s or 22s maybe or the 28/29s?

The 28/29 is supposed to be getting the Euro6 conversions funded by the Scottish Government, but when is unknown.

At least xplore are preparing sharply by the looks of it for a potential LEZ.

I’d have thought 400 CITY’s or Gemini’s wouldve been a better option considering that stagey has Volvo’s with MMC bodywork.

Most of there current fleet are volvo anyways

NX Group had a 5 year deal with ADL to supply all their new bus requirements, that may expire this year, as I think it was taken out in 2013? They haven't bought any new Volvo buses since 2012/2013 and the were B7RLE's & B5LH respectively.

The intake will see off the last of the Presidents + a few more

Always thought Dundee had a greater ratio of singles to deckers

Xplore Dundee were fined £35,000 by the Traffic Commissioner last Friday for widespread disruption to services throughout September and October.

https://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/...ed-for-widespread-disruption-to-bus-services/

Bus operator Xplore Dundee has been punished after driver shortages caused widespread disruption to services in September.

Joan Aitken, Traffic Commissioner for Scotland, handed out a £35,000 fine after a two-and-a-half hour hearing held in Dundee today.

Managing director Christine McGlasson said: “We respect the judgement today of the Traffic Commissioner – we recognise her role in enforcing the highest standards for our customers and public transport passengers throughout Scotland.”

So the new airport service is an apparent success, good news then....

Think it's safe to say more than apparent :p. For now the future of the service is secured until at least December 2020 with bookings currently being taken for between now and then.

Is that the one with the StreetAir?
Yeah it is.

https://nxbus.co.uk/dundee/information/service-changes/city-circle-service-360-withdrawal

Following a year-long trial period, and having assessed its performance to-date, Xplore Dundee has drafted registration documents to cancel City Circle service 360 in the autumn. Currently, this is expected to take effect from Sunday 29 September 2019 (with the last day of operation therefore being Saturday 28 September).

The service was launched last year as a brand new venture which we described as a "leap of faith"; one that was dependent on sufficient usage to sustain its operation in the long-term. Although we have initiated the early stages of the cancellation process, we will continue to monitor performance in the meantime. If there is a significant upturn in passenger numbers throughout the summer, we would be delighted to retain the service on a revised basis.

Although this trial has not been the success we had hoped, we won't be afraid to keep trying new things and to introduce innovative ways to get more people out of their cars and onto the bus in future.

Xplore Dundee are expecting the delivery of 9 new Emerald-spec Enviro400 MMC Smart-Hybrids in December, ready to go into service in January. This will allow for the transfer of 9 Enviro400Hs to West Midlands.

Surly Dundee want to update its whole fleet?

The E400H are unreliable & no longer as environmentally friendly as the Euro 6 Emerald's spec E400MMC's that will be replacing them.

Further of the existing fleet will be receiving Euro 6 exhaust upgrades, whilst there will be a further swap with NXWM that will involve more Euro 6 buses being moved in, older ones leaving.

Aye your right with that one they aren't the greatest at achieving that particular task, nippy off the mark though the 4 litre Cummins pulling it along is a strong unit
