Yes, I would like to throw my Goldfish down the toilet.

People who have been on a Virgin train toilet can only understand this.
I'm seeing many stations that we're opened in the 1990s in South Yorkshire, any reason for this?

The success of one reopening often leads to more. Plus, if the relevant local authorities are interested in opening a certain station, then they're also likely to be looking at others too. It's the same mindset.

Because of this, a lot of reopenings - especially in the 1980s and 1990s - have been on the same lines. The Far North Line, Glasgow South Western Line and Settle & Carlisle Line all have examples of this.
Good luck for tomorrow, remember STAR model (add the plus if you can) try getting assessing threat harm and risk in.
have you ever dealt with a stressful situation?
What attracted you to the role?
As a train driver we have to work within the rules, when have you ever had to break a rule?

All I can remember
I just heard a horn somewhere out of my house. I'm sure it's a train horn since I live somewhere near railway tracks, but this time, it sounded different from a Class 508/507. It blew about six or seven times. Class 777 on test perhaps?

But then again, they don't usually go on test in the daytime, so I don't know what it is.

No, but I'm sure it was another train. Due to privacy reasons, I choose not to reveal my location directly.
Smashed my old cast iron bath up with a sledgehammer this afternoon. Boing Boing CRACK!
Marvellous.

I did something similar with an old concrete and brick fireplace - dusty but very satisfying!

Hello Seagull
Sorry to bother you and do apologise for dropping by.
I have been reading the Avanti thread closely too and saw your post. Is it possible to Pm me the roster too and earliest start and later finish timings for Euston if possible.
I would really appreciate that.
Kind regards,
Evoice
Just got on what’ll likely be my last ever pacer :(

I've never, ever travelled on one. I kept saying I must do so for the experience but looks as though it'll only be on a heritage line
The forum isn't letting me submit posts for some reason...

I had the same issue on the TV advertising thread. 'Submit' didn't work in Chrome, but seemed fine in Safari.

@nlogax Adblockers will detect the word "advertising" and assume things below it are an ad, which interferes with the submit functionality. Do you perhaps have an adblocker installed in Chrome, but not Safari?

@Xenophon PCDGS Yes, I managed to figure out why as you can see above

Hah, good point and well spotted..foiled by my own adblocker!
Just booked myself a night on the sleeper to try these new MK5’s, from what I’ve heard I might regret it :s

You might be right about regretting it I'm afraid - my last night was over the bogie and it was frankly appalling, particularly when I had to be vaguely awake for the next day.
I actually think I have been on a Fainsa Ironing board seat, I think it was on a class 331. I haven't been on a Desiro City since I don't really go south, but looking at some pictures of class 700 seats, and comparing them class 331 seats, they seem the same. The Class 331 could be slightly more padded. Could anyone who's been on both of these set's clarify this for me if you can?

The 331s and 700s have the same basic design of seat in two different variants. The 700s have a more upright and less padded variant which makes them very uncomfortable. The 331s have a better angled and more padded version which, while not the most comfortable, is entirely adequate for reasonably short journeys.

FWIW I've not been on a 700 either, this is just what I've been told.
I work in an office overlooking the East Coast Main Line in central Peterborough. I live close to the GNGE and the Fox Covert Road footbridge in the Werrington district of northern Peterborough

I'll dig the drawings out and see what I can do, but the scanner is only A4, so it would be in sections

Ron,

If your friend is interested he can own the original... Research suggest the average listing was for £55 - £60. If he wants the original document £45 would be a fair price. I would even throw in an original copy of Loco Profile issue No1 on LNER non-streamline Pacifics for him. Payment can be via BACs or as a gift payment via paypal (so I receive the full amount)

Let me know

During the interview stage all of the T&C's would be explained & ASLEFs website has some information. It's a 4 day week an averaged 35hr week, plus there's a commitment to work booked Sundays as overtime on a ratio that's depot specific. Which may change in the future if Sunday are part of the working week as planned by TFW.
If successful your mate would have to obviously learn traction

Yeah most of that they already know thanks though! They didn’t really go into detail about money during the interview (which is understandable) It was purely just whether they do a training rate for qualified drivers like they do with new trainees or if they give you the full rate as training is only very short :) They start the start of November so thought I’d ask on here haha! Thank you for replying
Osomatsu-san is getting a third adaption this October. 2020 is technically not the worst year for me anymore.

@hexagon789 I've not been paying attention very much, but I don't believe I was one yesterday and I've posted about 30 times today so make of that what you will

You're right, the threshold seems to have been raised. It used to be around 1000, now it seems to be over 1100
