All 158s to be retained and refurbished as part of continuing to run Nottingham to Liverpool.

It's amazing the difference the interior colour scheme and choice of seat materials can make. I don't mind travelling on an LNER 800/801, but I find the GWR 800/802s rather depressing.

A lot of XC 170 services have been removed from the timetable next week too. This is certainly bigger than just the HSTs.

You have a lot of faith! I thought the contract for the 171s was subject to Southern having replacement trains, not a guaranteed delivery of 171s by a certain date?

They’re allowed to do it on Derby - Crewe, Newark - Grimsby, and Doncaster to Peterborough. A single ran on a Crewe diagram yesterday.

I believe the maximum 185s get to on the Hope Valley is 75.

Nottingham / Lincolns will be yes. 158s will continue to operate in the peak on that route - which is most certainly a good thing seeing as 2 car 195s have around 20 less seats than a 2 car 158. The fast Hull services are supposed to be 195 in the end - but not sure if that will happen now. Are...

It should be 44 170 units - 11 3 car sets, and 33 2 car sets = 99 vehicles. Still not enough really.
