23 April 2024 168107 Birmingham Moor Street-Leamington Spa 196011 Leamington Spa-Nuneaton 168107 was my lasr Class 168 to ride. I do need to ride some of 168321-29 again but I did ride them all with TPE as 170301-09.

Seen at Stafford yesterday at Stafford on 1305 5Q70 London Euston to Edge Hill Depot. It stopped on the down fast for five minutes then left with its pantograph raised.

For 2024/25 Fred Olsen flagship Bolette is operating out of Liverpool in place of Borealis.

There are red lines on the approach road into Liverpool Airport. Stop on them and a camera van will catch you.

If you are going to complain about anything on Platform 6 it should be the toilets. They are dire.

The only time that I have been to Penrith Station was in 1969 when we changed there to go to Keswick. I think that the line had previously closed beyond Keswick before we were there. Our train from Preston was hauled by a Class 47 and the return by 2 x Class 50.

Still around. Resides at Neville Hill these days.

Previous transfers have spent some time on the depot before entering service.

We still get them around Merseyside on Lime Street to Oxford Road and Blackburn to Headbolt Lane services. Other than the 2 + 3 seating they are good reliable units. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of travelling on 150231 which had got on to a Manchester Airport to Holyhead service paired...

Sometimes it is moved outside. I have seen it by the washer a couple of times. Rumour is that it is slowly being put back together but the depot is currently busy disposing of the last 507s.

I assume 331/1 will then be deployed on Liverpool-Manchester Airport services which are suffering severe overcrowding due to mainly three car units being used.

Having now extensively travelled on the 777s when I come down to South Wales to ride the 231s I will feel quite at home.
