From the US recently, I also noted some odd dep. times. I concluded at the time these were 'centre times' of 15' take-off slots being xx:07 and xx:52 etc.
There is always the other possibilty of deferentiating flights as a few may be booked the same 15' slots, so not to sound like a nearby (in...
That is my recollection too. As kids you offered up your seat directly (if accepted and there were seats elsewhere you moved to one of those.)
NB. I haven't seen the click-bait video (or even visited the sun).
I think the OP should be commended.
Thanks for the input.
It seems that for my (main) query (1) the best thing to do would be to rock up to KGX and just request any advanced for the next train (I was thinking of doing this once underway GTW-STP but collecting tickets being a issue).
For our STP-GTW I'll try at the LNER start...
I'd like to buy the cheapest advance fare on the day of travel (as I don't know the time until I get back into the country and can gauge my arrival into KGX). I'm thinking anything will be cheaper than the walk-on fare. But, remotely, how best to do this ? I'll be purchasing two tickets (two...
Thanks.

Has anyone ever seen an estimate of cost of how much the RIAB put on such...
Very interesting (from an occasional pax point of veiw).
My question, to tube drivers; do you feel those gradients all day - thinking uphill would be more noticeable, but offset by local rises/falls and the stations themselves.
Recently I've (personally) heard of a few cases where the RAC have been particularly slow at getting to the stranded vehicles - leading to an overall unsatisfactory event (all recovered in the end but many, many hours later).
Oddly enough, these are the only breakdowns known to me so I can only...
Running out of France (from that coastline), I was very impressed with Monacco platforms and especially the lighting there when visiting many years ago.
^^ This, with knobs on ^^
My Dad bought a place, knew the line was out of use, they even pulled up the rails within a year.
Then later they relaid the whole thing and used it for a passenger loop and it took as much traffic as the main route in one direction.
Presumption, as assumption, is the mother of many **** ups.
My landline, today, still gives the usual (double) ringtone when making a call. I've not had any incoming calls today so can't verify that - but yesterday's calls rang in with the usual and familiar double ring. I highlight this as...
