I've recently discovered you can pre book parking at Runcorn on the Avanti website, which makes it a bit cheaper.
I always use Runcorn for getting to London, Warrington BQ is a bit of nightmare .
Traffic around Chester is pretty awful, its like Oxford, poor local transport infrastructure. Could do with a some the local stations reopening. At least from the Wirral there is a good Merseyrail service for connections to London services. From the north part of Wirral , Lime Street is better...
I personally like the new trains Avanti are using over the Pendolinos , just seem to have more space , particularly for luggage.
I know several people who wish the old Hartford stop was still available at times. That has become a very busy station.
I didn't say the bus is no good, I said the roads are too congested, and that will continue. So do we do nothing, because experience shows in the UK we build nothing fast. A Merseyrail extension would be the ideal thing, giving also Speke a railway station an area poorly served by public...
The airport handles over 5 million passengers now and is growing, it is a base for Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2, plus other visiting airlines. The problem with South Parkway is the traffic that the bus link gets stuck in, its really becoming a problem. Passengers expect to get off a train and be...
But a station for there already exists, improve the service if need be. Liverpool is the second busiest airport in the North of England, transport to it needs improving firstly in my opinion.
I just don't know what the deal is for a high speed from Liverpool to Manchester Airport, between cites of the north ...yes, but as you say most passenger go from their home anyway to reach an airport. Before another Manchester Airport station, something for Liverpool Airport ought to come first...
I remember on the individual compartments, some would have a mirror which has the Southern route network etched on it. I think most of these were unscrewed and pinched.
At time I hated the slam door trains. I commuted from Bexleyheath to both Cannon Street and Charing Cross. I remember if you banged the seats loads of dust came off them. Slide down windows, which could annoyingly slide back up on a hot day. Now I look back at them more fondly.
