I would accept it and try find a way, from what I’ve heard if you don’t you would go back to the bottom of the wait list too be offer another position again

Yeah mine took 2 weeks before they contacted me, had to do a verification call with TFL first then I got it come through 2 days later

Anyone else heard anymore on starting train maintainer as of yet? Seems to have gone all quite again, but hearing of loads of vacancies at multiple depots!

See that just been confirm that they have just got more funding, so hopefully they actually get people started now!

Fingers crossed I get a call then last time I check I was 30 odd so hopefully get the call!! If nothing I’ll be calling again next week

Spoke to them yesterday regarding starting the train maintainer- felt they actually seemed a little more helpful for once, they said things are actually moving this time, but we shall see been told that before! There is only a limited/ handful amount Of FTCs at one depot Then they will start...

What position are you awaiting to start?

I think we all need more clarification on this, as when you ring recruitment they have no answers to what is actually going on with anything. I asked 3-4 question the other day to be told - I don’t know the answer to that to every question

Im not sure on it to be honest depends how you read it, I read it as though if you get a FTC you will be taken off the list for a permanent role

Do you know how many people started yesterday? I see they have put out for more train mainter jobs, surely that want to start starting the people currently waiting before looking for more people....
