    Warning TFL

As I already said, it will not be recorded on the PNC and as @skyhigh says above, it will not show on DBS checks. TfL considers the matter closed by issuing you a written warning.

    Warning TFL

No, it won't show on the PNC.

Rude staff member at Manchester station

I appreciate that it's a different beast to the railways, but at my airline we're very much encouraged to tell passengers in times of disruption if we don't have an answer for something but to give them an estimate on when we will have an answer. We are however dealing with much smaller numbers...

    Italy trip questions

Ah thanks for that! I didn't realise that had changed! All I noticed is that the larger tickets just looked slightly different

    Italy trip questions

Hopefully, I can give you a few answers! I'm afraid I'm unable to help on question 3, though, as I've never been to Prato. 1 - They don't have to be validated, that is correct. There is no benefit in terms of cost to buying through the FS app. 2 - Tickets bought through the app must be used on...

Radio silence from the train guard

Around a year ago, I travelled on an evening EMR service from Matlock to Derby and the guard came down the train just before departure asking everyone where they were getting off (there was only a handful of us on the train mind - and I’m fairly certain everyone was getting off in Derby and no...

    EMR Overcrowding

In a similar vein to yourself - not rail but still customer facing for an airline. I’ve had more abuse in the last year than ever before at work. It’s a shame to see/hear that it seems no different for railway staff (and of course the industry that you work in). Imagine the difference it could...

EMR - Something new is coming

Noticed today that a statue of Miles has been placed out front of Derby station, right in front of the doors. Can’t help but feel like that thing looks like it’s some sort of bouncer at a club telling you you’re not coming in because you’ve had a few too many. Perhaps trying to discourage people...

    Your favourite-sounding loco(s)/multiple units(s)?

Take a guess from my username:lol:

    Best and Worst First Class

I'd be inclined to agree with absolutely all of these plus the addition of TPE 185s under 'Worthy of the label'.

Using Contactless/Oyster PAYG do you have to tap at interchange stations?

Of course, I'm open to being corrected if I'm wrong, but I *believe* the pink Oyster readers are for passengers making a connection on a journey that has avoided zone 1 on a journey where going through zone 1 would be the most direct route so they don't get charged the higher fare.

What do you want from a premium service?

I think something similar to Prima on Italo would be good for a product positioned in between standard and first class. https://www.italotreno.it/en/the-train

Should Northern and 195s run all Hope Valley services?

Very inclined to agree with all of this. As a semi-regular user of the Hope Valley Line, I rather like the current arrangement. TPE has a strong regional express network in the north and I see no need to split this up and complicate matters for other TOCs.

    End of the station's word!

Stations you don't want to go to/be at

It's certainly improved since last year when I went there before my most recent adventure last week. I'll still say I'm not a big fan of the undesirables from Eirias and Rydal Penrhos schools.
