I will be travelling 5 days a week from Blackpool North to Manchester Metrolink zone 2 (via Zone 1 of course).
Is there a way of buying a through monthly season ticket? Or is it a case of buying individual tickets for train and tram, hopefully, putting them on the same smartcard?

I regularly buy tickets on the Northen Railways app and it should be rememberesd that just buying the ticket on the app is insufficient. You then need to download the ticket and then activate it before travel. You then know for certain you have a ticket asnd are aithorisd to ravel.

Remember, anything decided in a small claims court has no binding other than in the particular case the decision was made. This means that\ say someone else won their case using an argument, anybody else using that argument would need to start from scratch as it were,
I'm amazed the figure is that high, it's rare a day goes by without Citymapper highlighting a delay on that line. The whole network could do with fitting car-crushers on the front of trams to reduce delays! :D
If you regularly commute by Metrolink. particularly on the Airport line, I recommend developing a strategy for coping with delays, they're remarkably frequent.
Reading elsewhere on this forum, surely many of the problems faced by Compass are caused by its fare levels - or is it another case of predatory pricing, which was pretty rife when I lived in the area at the tail end of the 20th century.
I'm sure most managements expect this to happen, but from the comfort of their desks. Meanwhile, in the real world, many drivers do what they want. The bad ones making life difficult for those trying to do their jobs properly.
I suspect the difference is in the mode of purchase, an m- ticket bought by app, an e-ticket bought online? Just my guess, though. How long till the first degree course in deciphering 21st-century rail tickets?
