Many thanks for all your hard work on the site takno. Not sure if it's on your list or if there's a quick fix but at the berth before St Helens Central towards Liverpool, the last service that runs through at any given time always seems to stick.
The original proposal was an 1.5 tph service to London comprising the hourly Newcastle stopper and Edinburgh express every two hours, and a 1.5 tph train service to Edinburgh comprising the hourly crosscountry service and the Edinburgh express every two hours - exactly the same for Darlington...
At the time of the proposed 2022 timetable change there were 4 tph Manchester to York on TPE but that was reduced to three with the Scarborough and Newcastle services merged. In an ideal world eventually there would be:
-Liverpool to Newcastle
-Manchester Airport to Saltburn
-Liverpool to Hull...
At one point it was rumoured that it will return with the ECML timetable recast - with TPE running two-hourly Newcastle to Manchester Piccadilly (the other hour running to Scarborough) as was introduced in December and XC running an hourly service to York, extending to Newcastle every two hours...

One thought I did have is that the Darlington to Saltburn service could become a Darlington to Nunthorpe/Whitby service given this is intended to be split away from the Newcastle to Middlesbrough service in the future. Having said that, I'd say the demand for a half hourly service from...
Worth noting here that Northern will no longer have any 153's diagrammed from December. There are currently three diagrams (one full and two half) on the Leeds-Wigan service. The full diagram will now be operated by a 3-car 195 while the two half diagrams will now be merged into one (with the...
Myself and two friends travelled from Darlington to Saltburn over the summer, the first time using the line since pre-pandemic/when Pacers were used regularly. Both of my friends (who are not as savvy about the railway as myself) commented firstly on how cheap the tickets were - £5.60 return...
TPE have at some point in the past couple days posted the proposed timetable for the TPE South route on their May 2022 ECML consultation page.
This seems an interesting move when the consultation closes tomorrow - however it mentions on said page that they "also expect to issue a consultation...
