Pardon my ignorance, and this may be a non-starter, but would it be possible for the airport trains (or at least some of them) to be routed via Central Low Level? They wouldn't need to terminate, in that case, perhaps carrying on to Helensburgh. I'm not suggesting that those in Helensburgh...
