HST is generally around 7 minutes to get to 125mph. Fastest I've managed on a class 800 is 3m 30 to 125mph. Haven't had the chance yet to do 0-125 on a class 802 as they are slightly quicker.
You don't have to, but by placing the brake into emergency you are only charging the main res. Any other position you will be charging the main res and the brake pipe so it takes longer.
Should there be a problem with the brake pipe you will have 7+ bar of air escaping through the leak making it...

GTi is from the motoring term used on the VW Golf. You have a normal Golf and the faster, sportier Golf GTi. The 2+4 and 2+5 HSTs will just be faster HSTs as less weight to lug around. I believe GTi actually stands for Grand Tourer injection. It's just a nickname the short sets have been given...
Personally I think NR will say no money or too expensive to replace the OHLE at Goring. The best they can hope for is to paint the structures green!

I think the official date for Padd to Reading is Dec 2017 however I believe they are aiming for May 2017. From what I've seen so far, considering the amount of work they're doing every night it's certainly possible for a May switch on.
