Great footage-One question. I live 6 miles from carnforth and only knew about this 2 days after when it appeared on UK Main lines movement page. How does one find out BEFORE these events??!
Anyone confirm that 34046, Brautnton which travelled from Bury to Carnforth earlier thismorning is doing her Main line test on the Helliefield-Blackburn circuit-TODAY (EG off Carnforth 12.00 noonish)

There were quite a few mines that were mothballed for possible future use, (one has recently been re-opened in south wales-abliet in a relatively small way at present).
If the current situation is true then this is an ideal oppotunity for either the collective railways or some other...
Anyone got definite info on which (if any) steam loco hauling this charter.
Main line steam has it as Galatea or 48151, however Realtime trains has it as deisle hauled throughout.

With the latest failure of Tornado & subsequent cancelled rosters its made me think how many Locos with Main line certificates are currently unable to perform for one reason or another and how many are therefore having to step up and fulfill more & more trains and therefore be worked much harder...
Anyone any idea od the timigs for the two S&C runs by Tornado this coming Tues & Thursday (23/25th April)?
The weather is looking good so should be excellent photographic conditions!

theres also no light eng movements shown to get Black 5's down to the west country. (Last known stabling point Shrewsbury/SVR on the 12th) but thats not suprising as the whole venture is Wcr & anything that involves David Smith is always shrouded in unnessesary subtifuge untill the last minute!
