On a recent trip to Leamington Spa it struck me as very strange how the station faces away from the town. The forecourt and main building are on the "wrong" side of the line, which you have to pass under to get to the town centre.

Not necessarily - you could be re-watching videos you've taken yourself, for instance, and most streaming services have the option to download music so you can keep listening even without a signal.

This is the bit I can't quite fathom either. If access is from the gate then it's also across some pretty rough ground - hardly suitable for wedding shoes.
