GWR still leaving the gap between 22:20 and 00:20 from Guildford towards Dorking, Reigate and Redhill which is very disappointing as that suits a lot of people who would prefer not to drive to Guildford when going for a night out at Theatres in Guildford.

They need to resurrect the Drivers agreement with GTR, after all they are part of the same overall Railway.

ScotRail, LNER, LUMO, GWR, Hull Trains, Grand Central, TfW appear to be loaded.

Avanti, XC, Chiltern, EMR not in yet.

ScotRail changes I can see include:

- half-hourly Gourock semi-fast in 40 mins
- half-hourly Wemyss Bay all stops
- hourly Leven stopper via Kirkcaldy
- minor changes to calling patterns on HML (0707 ex-GLQ/1329 ex-EDB now omit CAG, with stops in the 0638 ex-EDB/1207 ex-GLQ instead
The Dundee-Edinburgh local services become semi-fast again, although in a few instances this is achieved by simply inserting pathing time where previously there was a stop!

Thank you, I'd missed that. Presumably stops picked up by the new Leven service?

- Coryton to Radyr becomes Coryton to Penarth but with no evening services presently shown for Coryton: evening services for Penarth will run to/from Cardiff Central only. Nothing showing on Sundays for Coryton.

Evening services on the Coryton line have been suspended from Monday to Thursday each week for well over a year now.

However Friday and Saturday evening services are being shown, and at an increased frequency compared to at present.

Details of the West Coastway changes are now on the Southern Railway website.

Summary of key changes

From June this year, West Coastway customers will benefit from:

  • Faster regional journeys, such as between Brighton, Chichester and Southampton, or for connections into the West of England – designed to be quicker and easier to use than local roads.
  • New half hourly services between Brighton and Southampton.
  • New half hourly services between London, Gatwick and Portsmouth Harbour, improving connections to local ferries and destinations.
  • Retained hourly services between Brighton and Portsmouth following public engagement.
  • Double the space and frequency on the busy route between Brighton and Worthing, with trains increasing from two to four per hour all day.
  • Improved service reliability through more robust turnaround times at destinations, reducing the likelihood that customers will be affected by delays earlier in the day.
  • More even departure times, where trains depart at the same times each hour and at more even intervals - making journeys easier to plan and use for customers

As GTR asked for the agreement to be ended that is unlikely.

That does not surprise me at all, I sure I saw that before but can't remember when that happened?

The Railway should be a joined up organisation, so in an ideal world GWR/GTR should get together and make sure our timetable we need happens.

I was expecting more changes to the trains through Dunblane with the new crossover giving much greater flexibility.

The Exmouth line still has the annoying skip stops in the evening - the 20.28 ex PGN (21.18 EXD) omits SJP and the next one, 20.55 ex PGN (21.52 EXD) omits POL. The latter means a 1 hr 27 min gap at POL at a time when the local buses are only hourly. I can't see an obvious reason, e.g. pathing at Exmouth Jn.

Not sure what anyone else thinks but it looks to me as if the 380’s are being taken away from Edinburgh from this timetable change. The new diagrams now seem to work with existing 385 services in parts, namely Dunblane’s.

A number of paths now show ‘Pathed as Class 385’ as well.

In Cornwall we will have a weekdays only 09:15 Newquay to Penzance and 11:15 Penzance to Newquay of which the former unfortunately leaves Par before the Bristol-Newquay service arrives meaning a gap between Plymouth and Penzance of an hour, it would of made more sense to me to cross with the Newquay bound train at St Blazey and then route the Penzance into Par to give the connection from Bristol and Plymouth retaining the 30 minute frequency albeit needing a change at Par on this occasion.

From the look of it, the connection from Newquay into 1A82 to Paddington has been prioritised, probably sensible given the time of day. As the signalling doesn’t permit a train from St Blazey to arrive Par while a train is signalled on the Up Main (even the resignalled layout retains this constraint) the earliest 2C09 could call after 1A82 is 1022-25, by which point 1C55 is bearing down on it. Once through the Truro area 2C09 would only be 8 mins ahead of 1C55, pretty impractical. It also breaks the turnround at Penzance, which is only 5 mins, so you’d probably lose a round trip on the Newquay branch later in the afternoon to recover the diagram.

That's very frustrating isn't it. No journey time improvement at all on some of the northbounds especially. That will be dull for the driver attempting to ensure that they do not run too early with the DMUs.

Liverpool Street - Norwich Services:

xx00 Services now call additionally at Chelmsford, where the xx30 services cease to call at Chelmsford, running fast from Stratford - Colchester. Diss/Stowmarket calls are unchanged.

Also 0800 Norwich - Liverpool Street and 1700 Liverpool Street - Norwich are now class 9 headcodes, 9P19 and 9P46 respectively. In addition, the latter also now calls at Stratford.

The remaining missing GN Peterborough peaks have been restored, but as Q paths ("Runs as required") for some reason.

The ecs's to form them currently run down to Haywards Heath to reverse anyway, so this is just starting them from Haywards Heath. Idea being that any passenger who don't mind a slower journey and want a guaranteed seat can bored 9R12 and 9R14.

Add WMR to that list. The second Shrewsbury is showing via Tame Bridge, with Willenhall and Darlaston unadvertised

The ECS' to form these trains already reverse at Haywards Heath, so imo it's a quick win for an extra connection from there.

Edit - already mentioned in #146!

The peak Littlehampton to London Bridge (and vice versa) services are gaining Three Bridges stops, and will no longer run on Fridays. Sadly still no Burgess Hill stop on the down PM peak service, despite the 4mins pathing time between Keymer Jn and Hove…

All the Southern trains to Hemel Hempstead have been eliminated :o
Eliminated or just not published yet? There are still some SN trains missing on the Watford to Clapham corridor, they seem to coincide with the trains that currently run there.
