Just managed to top up my Uber with another £40.00. I still have £45 remaining from the previous offer in Autumn, plus used a referral code a friend gave me which got me an extra £10.

You have to add the gift card at the point of purchasing the train tickets, rather than beforehand. When you come to pay, you can select gift card at that point.
NB I just tried that and it also went to Uber Money, so looks like they've completely locked down the use of gift cards for rail tickets if you're opted in to Uber Money

If we opt out of Uber money, presumably we can still spend and earn Uber credit when buying tickets etc.? If so, I’ll opt out - thanks for the heads up!

Does anyone know how I can force an avoid station on the Uber app? I travel Super Off Peak Return Folkestone Central to Exeter Centeal via Honiton. I can usually only buy these on journey planners if I put in Avoid St Davids. Bizarre really as the ticket I get is valid to Exeter St David's. Otherwise thery send me via the GWR route where my Network Railcard is not valid.

Sixty days is approximately the duration by which the 10% cashback scheme has been extended (to 31 August).

It is also the new maximum wait (after the last day of your journey) for credits to arrive...

Anyone know if Uber have started doing any card collection? I accidentally bought TOD tickets on Uber using my chase card, which doesn't work for collection if you must use the same card, but when I tried collecting the tickets it was fine with the card.

Yes they do. I've personally made use of that feature since summer 2023.

Not sure if I'm just extremely lucky, but I've gotten the 10% credits reward for my last two bookings around 5 days after my travel (day return tickets), and Avios post instantly to my BA account!

Bought this ticket 5 minutes ago and the Avios are already there:

Does Omio / Uber struggle with tickets with London Thameslink as the origin?

Planning a trip to Flitwick tomorrow and being offered higher fares than on other sites

Yes, but just specify one of the relevant stations instead.

Whichever station I specify I am quoted the higher fare.
What higher fare? The off peak day return from London Thameslink to Flitwick is £24.40, there isn’t anything cheaper.

On further checking it actually seems to be an issue applying the Network Railcard discount.

I want a Network railcard discounted off peak day single which should be £16 but Uber only offers the £24.30 full fare.

With a senior railcard it correctly offers the £16 fare.

Yes, it appears to have a problem with the Network Railcard.

That must be a new bug as I bought tickets with a Network Railcard on 25 March but I also can't do now. I've sent a message to them to tell them about the bug.

Also you have to wait a bit for the fare to update on the app if selecting a railcard. It’s a bit clunky. It also pays to know what the correct fare should be so that you don’t overpay or select the wrong ticket.

Not the best app by far, but worthwhile for now given the 10% credit. I will use it at least until July when the offer ends

Anyone know if Uber Trains allows you to add your tickets to Apple Wallet? If so, it might make me a convert.

The app is currently unable to sell outboundary Day Travelcards. For example, here are 5 applicable journeys I've looked up for travel on Saturday 20 April:

Harlow Town - Orpington
Luton Airport Parkway - East Croydon
Leighton Buzzard - Feltham
Woking - Sidcup
Sevenoaks - West Ruislip

Yeah I've been having the same issue travelling from Reading, it was fine a week ago but hasn't worked yesterday or today

It appears my card was charged for a ticket purchased on Wednesday despite having enough gift card balance to cover the cost. Could be user error but I don't remember having to do anything previously

Have you created an 'Uber Money' account? That will prevent you redeeming gift cards for rail tickets

Nope, and if I go through the process of making another booking it clearly lists Uber Cash + Amex and worked fine for past month or so. I was also given a bunch of counted place coupons despite saying I didn't want reservations and them not being required so hopefully it was just a glitch on that purchase.
