I’m not sure if this is necessarily the correct section for this query but there isn’t a general questions area.
I’m tempted to pre-order the above model. However, as someone who detests locomotives being given puerile names (subjective I know, so don’t judge), I would want it in unnamed guise. I’ve seen the RailAdvent article from when the livery was unveiled but wondered if the loco subsequently saw service before the cr4p name was bestowed.
Then it would be a question of asking Rails of Sheffield whether the nameplates will be tampo printed as I suspect that, if so, with this livery, they’d be impossible to remove without damaging the underlying livery.

There was a period of a month between 20th July and 24th August 2022 when the loco operated in its new livery before being named - it spent some time during this period hauling stone trains out of Tunstead.

Like you I suspect the name will be tampo printed on the model, though I don't know for sure.

Many thanks Sprinterguy. That’s good to know.
I’ll drop Rails a line to check what’s the intended method of creating the nameplate.

For what its worth, the Cavalex 56's don't have printed nameplates on the named ones. Only etched plates for the user to fit themselves (With a template).
I'd assume the 60's will be the same.

What's wrong with 'Minoru'? ;)
Perfectly apt for an express locomotive! Maybe less so for a heavy hauler??
Though anything is better than the current vogue of naming locos Rita, Sue and Bob too…..

In case anyone is interested the following is from Cavalex “The nameplate will be printed on the model as per the real loco. The "Sonia" nameplate is a print on 60062 and not a separate nameplate, so we are planning to reproduce this on our model”.
Given that the name on the real thing is a sticker, I can understand the logic. From my perspective it’s a shame though!
