Hi all,

I know this gets asked a lot, or at least it used to, but I’m looking for location recommendations which have quite a lot of freight travelling through. I’ve read previous threads but some are dating back almost a decade, and I know that quite a fair bit has changed since then.

I’m open to any suggestions, provided that they are:

1. In England
2. Are Accessible via public transport, or a short walk from a public transport link
3. Are on publicly accessible land
4. Not in fields

Many thanks :)

Stafford is pretty good and has a big Tesco nearby which is handy..

Chesterfield on the MML. Station is very spotter friendly, complete with food outlets and town is a 5 minute walk up the hill. A very popular footbridge is a few minutes walk up the main Staveley road. Check out this album as most of the shots are from the bridge.

Peterborough, Ely, Ipswich and anywhere along the Felixstowe branch (my favourites are Westerfield and Trimley).
