SWR Fare evasion email response help

Hi all,

I was recently sent an email by SWR about fare evading which I did 41 times from Staines to Syon Lane. However I took a trip to Bournemouth from Clapham junction in December which is being reviewed as a suspicious trip when I didn’t fare evade and I have the ticket screenshots to prove that. Is it still worth attaching these screenshots on the email I respond to SWR with?

Staines has barriers. Did you not buy any ticket at all, or were you short faring?

We need to knowe more about your case to be able to advise. What tickets (if any) did you purchase for your journey between Staines and Syon Lane? What exactly have SWR asked you in the letter? If you made a journey from Bournmouth to Clapham Junction and had a valid ticket for this journey then you should tell them that and explain how the ticket was valid.
