Only three diagrams operating all on Southports

Southport
017,003: 1012 1242 1512 1742 2012
016, 018: 1042 1312 1512, 1742, 2012
029, 015: 1527, 1757, 2027, 2242

Hunts X
017, 003: 1128, 1351, 1621, 1851, 2121
016, 028: 1151, 1421, 1651, 1921, 2151
029, 015: 1636, 1906, 2136

There are 3 spares, which doesn't bode well for future with the service covered.

001: West Kirby
007: New Brighton
033 Birkenhead (though often Birkenhead spares are at New Brighton)

Out of service/ scrap.
011 waiting repair since 05/03
014 scrap 15/04
018 waiting repair since 07/04
021 scrap 15/04
023 waiting repair since 16/04
Anything specific happening to 011?

Managed to get a look at 001 at West Kirby yesterday. The livery really does stand out. Just out of curiosity, how often do they wash the trains? She’s a tad less shiny than when I first saw her in December, obviously a natural part of being outdoors.

A fair bet it is on Southport HX 1512/1527/1542 based on yesterday
viewed 507029+015 507016+028 507023+033 in that order something happening at Freshfields delaying services though - so 507003+017 and 507018 no longer on these.

That mention of 018 in the earlier post is just a typo; this unit hasn't been out since early April. The three Southport formations yesterday were, in order: 003+017, 015+029 and 016+028.

Today 003+017 are in the sidings at Southport. Still unmoved is 011, which will likely only run in service again if its wheel flats are severe enough to require the lathe prior to its scheduled scrap move. Even then, given the graffiti, it looks less and less likely 011 will carry passengers again.

i think 011s already been withdrawn, kirkdale told it where to go when it needed repairs

015 and 029 are doing Southport line. Just passed Freshfield.
I wondered what that appliance was doing, I saw it go up the road beside the track from a pub next to Freshfield station.

507001 is on the Southport line today

I messaged merseyrail again to ask about it and that’s what they said too. That she’s in the sidings. This is about half an hour ago. But I’m quite sure I saw 001 pass Freshfield a little before ten o’clock. I may be mistaken but 001 is very distinctive. Seems an odd thing to mix up.

Perhaps whoever is running the FB page for Merseyrail isn’t updated immediately.

I believe 507001 has ran ECS this morning to Southport to be stabled.
I also think 507011 may have also moved ECS over to New Brighton to be stabled - could anyone confirm if 507011 is now at New Brighton?

When I passed 001 at the sidings in Southport this afternoon I heard that ticking noise they make when the trains are in stations. I’m given to understand this is something related to the compressors. Is this so? And is it normal for a train at a siding with no one aboard to make this noise?
