I think it is worth mentioning that at least some of the current Matlock diagrams appear to interwork with services East of Nottingham so some of the risk of delays being imported already exists.
I'm taking from this the new timetables have been set and you have access to them!
Would you / Could you tell us the times of the new later last trains from Nottingham which was one of the other improvements suggested in the orginal posts?
What do we think the railway is for? Having spare capacity everywhere in case once a year there might be a royal train or other special is a waste of either money or capacity.
The railway is for moving as many people or as much stuff as possible.
Is the departure time switch what has happened or what will happen? If the later have the new times been published somewhere?

I don't take the trian I used to but when I did I think the teenagers I saw getting on at Spondon were going to Derby college which is adjacent to Derby...
I wonder how this effects the recent Nottingham to Bristol open access proposal? They can say "you said in your manifesto you would allow open access, so you can prove it by approving our proposal which unlike nearly all others doesn't use the ECML or WCML."
Also if all the proposals are...
I wonder if any of the peak services will pick up the other stop?

You are quite right I forgot they swapped the Crewe and the Matlock.
There appears to be a drive to have 2 trains an hour connecting Lincoln Nottingham and Derby but I'm not sure whether that drive is from existing...
No in messages to shareholders they think/have been told it would be easier to raise large suns of money if more was being spent on physical assets which have more obvious value rather than services access rights etc so it is building new stations on the national network. I assume they would be...
This story in the Guardian suggests rail pipeline published in July. The wait continues!

Years and years ago before electrification was cancelled ago I went to a public information event in Belper which laid out the plans for it. So they had a solution then and I doubt anything will have changed.
IIRC it was track lowering for all except the most Northern bridge or two as they...
It feels like it kicks the bigger question of what to do for and about rural buses is kicked further into the long grass.
The rise to £3 probably moved many urban buses out of the scheme for practical purposes (even if singles were still £3) returns, day tickets or season tickets probably took...
Could just be maintaince taking advantage of the line being closed or anything that needs to be done to make sure the signals aren't affected by the overhead line and its voltage
These funds are for the East Midlands Mayoral Region which is Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire so will be about transport within and between these regions.
I think the list of things I quoted in post 22, which were the projects for the transforming cities bid which was a bid...
You should look at the rest of the link which is all the other things they were going to do before COVID got in the way I imagine they are back on the agenda.
I have wondered about this. It will be interesting to see what the tram report says when it comes out.
As others have said there are plenty of within Greater Nottingham extensions to decent population sizes and I include Long Eaton in that. There is then large gaps to Derby and the end to end...
In the press coverage of yesterday mayoral region transport funding announcement a journalist asked about national programs and got a reply along the lines of more to come next week.
This work finishing early gives the opportunity of spining it as "previous government cancelled it we will bring...
There is expected to be quite a shakeup to the EMR regional services as discussed in another thread on here. I'm waiting impatiently to find out how much later promised later trains are and whether the swapping around of where the Derby-Nottingham services serve West of Derby and East of...
The Mansfield Woodhouse to Nottingham services that made the overall services go to 2ph from 1ph are the only COVID cuts not to come back I think that must tell us something about demand.
I wonder if a better and maybe cheaper (mainly one off capital spend rather than ongoing subsidy increase)...
